Old plastic landscape edging has a way of looking great for a season or two - then it starts to fade, shift, and crack. Once it gets to that point, it actually makes the whole yard look worse, not better. That's exactly what we were dealing with here.

We pulled out the old, worn black plastic edging and replaced it with bullet edgers all the way around the beds. The difference is noticeable right away. Bullet edgers sit more consistently along the bed line, giving you that clean, defined separation between the rock beds and the grass that plastic edging just can't hold long-term.

What we like about this type of edging is how well it follows the natural curves of a bed. These beds wrap around multiple sides of the home, including under the deck, and the bullet edgers follow every curve without looking forced or choppy. It keeps things looking intentional and sharp from every angle.

It's one of those landscape maintenance upgrades that doesn't get talked about much, but it makes a real impact on how polished the entire yard looks. Good edging ties everything together - the shrubs, the rock, the lawn. Without it, even a well-maintained yard can look unfinished.

If your beds are still running on old plastic edging that's seen better days, this kind of upgrade is worth considering. The install is straightforward and the results speak for themselves.
